Thinking about become a PADI Open Water Diving Instructor; you have now taken the first step on the road to becoming one of the worlds most sought after diving Instructors.  The next step is a crucial one for you and will be the one that will influence how well you succeed in your career as a diving instructor in the future.  Your instructor training is going to be the foundation of your new career and a little extra preparation now will improve your standing in the industry when you are a PADI instructor.

Meet your Highly experienced PADI Course Directors

Bundaberg Dive Academy’s extended program IDC will offer you the best start possible in the dive industry. We will provide you with a relaxed and enjoyable IDC, free from stress and worry as much fun and laughter as you can handle.

We believe that if you have fun in your IDC then you will have fun with your students when you qualify as an instructor.

Our extended IDC program benefits you by giving;

More time to gain a full understanding of the material presented,

More time for practice and development of your teaching style,

No worries about getting the program done in 7 days.

Less stress, learning will be fun, enjoyable and relaxed.

Bundaberg Dive Academy’s two PADI Course Directors, David James and Katsumi Kaneyuki will guide you through the art of becoming a professional dive educator and answer any questions that you may have.

We also offer a comprehensive career development package that can be custom built to suit your personal requirements.

The career development package can take you from advanced diver to Dive Master or Instructor and beyond , email us your requirements

Upon finishing your training we will offer you the chance to team teaching to gain even more confidence and experience as a newly certified Instructor.

This will give you the chance to hone your teaching skills under the guidance of seasoned instructors, if available and you meet visa requirements we will offer you paid work.

The diving
Diving from the shoreline over rocks covered with beautiful hard and soft coral and reputed to be the best shore diving inQueensland or explore the ships, aeroplanes and an abundance of marine life on the spectacular Cochrane Artificial Reef just 3 miles out from the shore.

Queensland at its best :
Your chance to visit the famous Fraser Island and the wild dingos just 130 km away by road, some of our local wonderful beaches of golden sand and no crocodiles or jelly fish.

Mon Repos, a mainland turtle nesting site only 15 klms away.

Prerequisites for the program
Doctors medical stating that you are fit to dive in the last 11 months

PADI Dive master or equivalent and over 18 years old

Been a diver for at least 6 months and have logged 97 dives

Included in  the IDC program are
21 classroom presentations by your course director and his staff

3 skill development workshops

4-knowledge development training sessions

4 confined water-training sessions

3 open water-training sessions

Rescue skill development workshop and evaluation

2 Practice standard exams

2 practice theory exams

Tea and coffee throughout the day
Equipment hire if you do not have your own

Team teaching on gaining teaching status from PADI
